- Store and display your family tree data.
- Improve app performance and fix bugs.
- Respond to your support requests.
- Send important app-related notifications (no marketing emails).

- With your consent — when you explicitly choose to share your family tree with other users.
- Service providers — trusted partners (e.g., Firebase) that help us operate the app, bound by confidentiality agreements.

4 Data Storage & Security
Your data is stored securely using Google Firebase, which provides industry-standard encryption in transit and at rest. We take reasonable measures to protect your information from unauthorized access, loss, or misuse.
However, no method of electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
5 Data Retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, all associated data — including your profile, family tree, and uploaded photos — will be permanently deleted within 30 days.
6 Children's Privacy
Family Tree is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will promptly delete it.
7 Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Request correction of inaccurate data.
- Request deletion of your account and all associated data.
To delete your account, open the app → Home → overflow menu (⋮) → Delete Account. Or visit our Delete Account page.
8 Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any significant changes by updating the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
